(apologies for strange wording, not my first language)

I'm so happy to see this updated! This is still one of my favorites (and I have itch collection with 1300+ if and vn in it). Also, I was your first ever commenter, yay! It's an honor. (doing happy dance).

Others already said about how good it is (it is!!), so I just wanted to mention my own experiences with it.

Audio is still sooo good. Sometimes I just paused my reading and listened to background sounds or music for a while.

My Elegance is such a gentle, but sad creature with a quiet presense. He cries... a lot (relatable), and a thought of killing someone, even the little bug (oh my heart) absolutely destroys him. But still he prevails and is surprisingly stubborn when it comes to his attachments. No matter what Younger does... And he wears his heart on his sleeve, because I like making his life more difficult, hah.

And yes, the beetle, oh my god. For my Elegance, lonely and starved for attention, trying to reach for anyone only for everyone to distance themselves, this little bug was a salvation of sorts. And to have it taken away from us... I was ugly crying right alongside my Elegance, because I really felt that devastating loss.

There is one thing I wanted to ask... Is there a chance you will attach your game as a downloadable file? I'm asking because I'm living in a country rapidly going through some totalitarian scenarios. I fear in a year or two we simply won't have access to the global Internet... so I'm downloading everything I can so I can play it locally in worst case scenario. And I really like your story and would like to be able to read it in the future.

I'm not insisting in any way. If it's a bother or you simply don't want to do that, I completely understand. Esp. considering the whole AI stealing disaster. Just figured I'd ask.

Hello Vesper!

If you happen to be wondering whether or not I remember you, the answer is, of course I do! You left such nice feedback for me on launch day, and it made me so happy. Now I'm happy AGAIN because you came back to read the update! :)

This is still one of my favorites (and I have itch collection with 1300+ if and vn in it).

1300+ and competing with visual novels?! I think I might be too shy for this level of "I liked the thing you made," is there a table for me to crawl under...?

Audio is still sooo good. Sometimes I just paused my reading and listened to background sounds or music for a while.

Really glad you're still enjoying the soundscape, and THIS much! I put so much effort and thought into the audio for Chapter 2 - possibly more even than the first chapter. This means a lot... someone pausing to simply experience the ambience is everything I had hoped for, and more. Thank you for the kind words, Vesper!

But still he prevails and is surprisingly stubborn when it comes to his attachments. No matter what Younger does... And he wears his heart on his sleeve, because I like making his life more difficult, hah.

Oh nooo, ahaha! Poor Elegance! You have indeed set him up for a very difficult existence. This is a dangerous combination of traits where Younger is concerned. And I'm so sorry the Narrator took his beetle away. :'( Please forgive me. But I have such a big heart for the gentle, sad ones... he will have many moments to shine in the coming chapters. Trust!

As for your ask, I am so saddened to hear this. Some people don't like what they consider to be empty sentiments, so apologies if you find it offensive in any way, but I'll surely be keeping you in my thoughts and hoping for positive changes in your part of this world we share. It has really moved me that GoB is one of those games you wish to save and play again, even in a worst case scenario... unfortunately, I can't promise anything at this time - for several reasons, including the one you mentioned.

But for what it may be worth, you have made me consider this option more seriously for the future! If it is a feature I am able to add in the next year or two, I'll be sure to update you.

Please stay safe and look after yourself as best you can!

~ Effie

Thank you for your kind words, Effie, your compassion and wish is not an empty sentiment. I appreciate it very much. And thank you for considering the download option in the future!
