Will it be only 3D or only 2D Gam jam?

Is there any specific dimension and perspective we need to follow? we are excited about making a 3D game for the jam..
or question, is it okay if we used any external extension for any particular feature or mechanics? or is it needs to be entirely made using the logics in events

Jam Host

You're allowed to use extensions, whether you made them yourself or not. 馃憤

We have a rule on the jam page that explains what amount of "pre-existing content" is allowed to be used in your game, since remaking the same extensions/assets again just so you can use them in the jam would be boring and you wouldn't really learn anything, but copying over too much from existing work you've done would be unfair for other participants.

I also pinned a message in the GDevelop discord game jam channel that hopefully explains pre-existing with an actual jam game example:

Hope that helps. 馃憤

hey i have an question. Can i use images from another developer for textures in my game?

You can use any resources that鈥檚 legal for you to use

But using resources (like image, 3d model, texture, etc) from another developer requires an acceptable permission for usage.

Got it, Thank you so much. We will go through this for sure.. and it makes sense for challenge and competition to learn something within a set period.
Excited for the Theme announcement
