Difficulty of escape sequences is tied to overall game difficulty level with hopeless often requiring completely different solutions.
I was playing on easy mode, but with help of one of those Google document things lower in the comments, I did get past it, same with the Speedy Athlete outfit. But I still hope that this project continues.
