As of the time of me typing this out, I have only beaten easy and hard mode, didn't beat horrid mode yet and this is where my problems with this game come in, so my problems with the game is the map and the monster, the monster in this game is just so difficult to outrun that really rare in which I've only outran him once in a chase in my hard mode winning attempt through running around the tanks. When you get all eight eggs you have go back to where you spawn in order to win also the monster immediately knows where you are around on the map no matter what and When in a chase with the Monster, which I'm assuming has the same name of the game in question, that's where it's difficult to dodge and outrun. It's Also really hard to spot him on hard and horrid mode especially with me turning the lights off in the room I'm playing this at. My problem with the map is that it is hard for me to tell where I can't tell If on the dirt path or on the grass because of how there isn't much color and the low quality done on purpose to parody the PS1 games. This game is literally just worse than "Parsec Production's Slender: The Eight Pages" in which the developer is trying to mimic the gameplay of that.

Overall, I would have to give this a 4.5/10

Thank you for the very detailed review! There were things I wanted to add and polish current mechanics, for example, the monster (whose name is lehorrid as you guessed(leporid+horrid(incredible wordplay))) may seem difficult to outrun, at least until you realize you can get behind them while stunned to break LOS, it is a pretty cheesy strat, but since I couldn't add energy drinks and flashlight blindings in time, I decided to just leave that in, it is not useful at all on the escape sequence though(which only gives you a stamina boost once it starts).

The darkness is something I can tune down, not sure how much since brightness varies from screen to screen, I also plan to change the grass or dirt texture so they have a better contrast with each other, my plan was to mimic the n64 rather than the ps1, that's why there is no affine texture mapping and most textures are 64x64.

I will update the game to add what I had planned and polish/balance stuff once the jam ends. Thanks for the in depth critique🐰
