One of the biggest things to note, is that the abuse expressed here, that isn't tangled so tightly to misogyny (the Doctor's takeaway about the beauty industry and standards except for one line), genuinely LACKS the gendered abuse. It is flavored in masculine vs feminine abuse, but it's core is just relationship abuse.

I will say, the nuance that flared up about the Doctor, is major too. How he's pressured by society into what he has become, which was STILL his choice to make ultimately. He also brings up a single line, about how much he as a man faces harsh beauty standards, and this line is VALUABLE because it's so true and so thrown under the rug, especially by extremists worrying over how harsh beauty standards are on women.

The narration, the animation effects, the style and everything. This was beautiful. Thank you for it, especially free. My first ending was to play along, for freedom, as the synopsis gave me the impression she KNEW how he would react if I didn't appeal to him, and she had time to learn how to do that right, biding her time for her one hope: power with a mechanical body that would innately be stronger than his thin, organic one. And the payout for that, was so good.
