Your guy doesn't jump high enough to get to the second platform. Make sure to check that out!
Sorry, it appears we forgot to add a tutorial for that feature.
After touching the yellow orb you can jump again.

No worries! I also didn't realize that by touching, you meant with the mouse. I kept trying to get my guy to reach the orb.
It shouldn't be the mouse? Im fairly sure its the guy that needs to touch it. Sorry, I'd check but I'm unable to access a computer currently.
