My previous comment never sent so I am rewriting. I adore this visual novel and its characters, and Haruki has been my favorite route, but I have a major problem with this update, and it's not Haruki or the rough scene, it's Yuu.
I think it makes perfect sense for Haruki's character that he would act this way, and I liked how the scene itself was written and played out, but afterwards Yuu genuinely felt like a completely different character... I have a feeling he'll be less okay with what transpired over time but even then, he has a full afternoon to mull over what happened and he doesn't have ANY concerns or even thoughts worth showing us except that his mood is better and he liked it and he likes haruki? He doesn't have any thoughts about the fact that Haruki's gay? that Haruki now knows HE'S gay? doesn't wonder what their relationship is now?
And on top of that, this chronically awkward guy who gets in his head about everything is just able to have a normal casual conversation with Haruki after forcefully losing his gay virginity like it's nothing? Time and time again, in every route including this one, we are shown that yuuichi is NOT good at acting casual and collected when it comes to gay stuff, but suddenly he can handle talking to someone who he gave a risky public rough blowjob to, who he didn't even know was gay or into him until approximately 15 seconds before choking on his dick? He couldn't even handle seeing it flaccid in the locker room without mentally shutting down last update! Then to go from that back to yuiichis puppy love "I think I'm falling for him" was also quite the tonal whiplash for me.
This is maybe the second craziest thing to happen to Yuu in the whole visual novel, only behind (life changing thing that happens in juns route), and I am sure it will be explored further but the fact that almost nothing about this gets examined by yuuichi or given any narrative weight at all in this update is quite jarring, and feels very out of character for him. I think many people, myself included, would have no problem with the suddenness and intensity of the scene if it wasn't handled so casually after, but as it stands I understand why some people felt burned by this update. I really do hope this one gets a rewrite, not to remove the sex scene or even soften it, but to make yuuichis reaction the following afternoon align with what we've seen of him as a character so far, or at least hint that things aren't as peachy as they come off this chapter. Regardless, I hope you are able to feel better soon, your health is important to me above anything mentioned here. It's been a delight reading this world you've built and I am thankful you're sharing it with us.
