This is a super short game, but it's one that hurts. As a group, you tell stories related to different instinct or sensory-related memories of a dog that's dying in space. There's no neat moral to wrap things up, no easy release from the feeling that what happened was wrong, and the game leaves you to dwell on that.

There are other themes in play---betrayal, immortality, interconnectedness, resignation---whatever your own mind brings to the table. The game's structure also makes it extremely well-suited as a group writing exercise if you want to go that route, and you'll probably end up with a devastating short anthology as a result.

Basically, Laika's a strong game that's both really good and not for everybody all the time.

I'd definitely recommend it.
