Very heartwarming and a great first game!!
I got the game on steam, but here seems best for feed back:
-The player character doesn't need to be gendered :c (like that line of feeling like a father)
-The voice of the player character isnt really represented in the dialogue choices and the choices seem out of the blue compared to what Umi is saying to us. I ended up getting the good ending my first try, but it didnt feel like I knew what I was going to be saying or that I could say what I wanted. I wanted more options between the sections of the player character speaking so I could have more input on influencing her perspective. Still I'm very happy how the player character suggested she be a girl on a beach if she wanted an identity. Very simple, yet elegant. I didn't feel as if I chose that dialogue though.
-In future art it would be really heartfelt to have options to accept the character as they are. It seems like the player is the creator of this universe and there to share company with Umi. It seems like Umi has been sitting on that beach and will sit on it for eternity. I felt myself wanting to just treat her like I know her already instead of having no memory.
Very excited for what you two make next! I love the vibes and the topics covered. If the scope of your projects increase I know it will all be divine <333 What I really like the most is the sense Umi exists to be on that beach, like its her purpose. Theres something so comforting in a life so simple, where you dont need food or to wash yourself. Its nice sharing infinity and I feel that in this game c:
