Ah you were correct, it looks like Samsung's browser was applying a dark theme that was messing with the colors for the interface but not the artwork. Swapping to light mode fixed it. Thanks!
Some good news. Multitouch now seems to work in Chrome! Not sure what changed but I'll swap over to using it for further drawing/testing.
Here's the latest batch of bugs / things I've noticed drawing on the tablet. Most of this was with Samsung's browser since I just discovered that chrome is working properly while writing this.
- Layer order gets scrambled every time I open the image. It seems to be completely random, and each time I close and open the image the order is different. My image was imported from Photoshop, which might be the cause. I'll test with a fresh image created in Manabit next time I'm drawing. I'll also test this in Chrome to see if it's a Samsung browser specific issue.
- Interface for moving layers is a bit broken on the tablet for both browsers. Holding on a layer in the menu selects to be moved, but I can only move it all the way to the top, and it jumps there instantly when I start to move my finger in either direction, up or down. Same issue with using the pen to do this. There is an additional issue in Chrome where holding on the layer in the menu brings up the "Download, Share, Print" pop up menu you get when holding on an image in a webpage making it even harder to move the layers.
- The canvas sometimes doesn't update correctly leaving a stray pixel or line on screen till you force it to update by moving the canvas. Saw this on the Samsung browser but haven't tested to see if it's a common issue on Chrome yet.
- Mouse doesn't work in Samsung browser, but does in Chrome (sort of). The bug in the Samsung browser is a bit odd, it'll work for a split second at the very start, then the cursor stops moving and reacting to input at all no mater what I do. Still works fine if I swap to another webpage and use it though.
- In chrome the mouse works but in a very odd way, the manabit cursor and the default mouse cursor both show up on screen separately. The manabit cursor won't move until the mouse is clicked at which point it snaps to the mouse cursor and both move with the mouse till the button is released. I imagine this might be a limitation of the combo of mouse/tablet/web app.
A minor feature request. When drawing on the computer Manabit displays a little preview of where the pixel will be placed under the cursor before you click and draw. Would be nice to be able to turn this on when on tablet!
Hope this feedback continues to be helpful. Despite the issues I'm enjoying drawing with it!
