This is an absolutely fantastic module that can integrate easily into most overland adventures.  The "dark and stormy night" vibe fit my game well, and I used a slightly modified (for local campaign lore) version as a gauntlet and it worked very well. It claimed 7 zero levels and set a tone for the game that couldn't be beat. I should have dialed the longsword treasure item back a tad (hindsight and all) but there will be future opportunities for that. :) Thanks for sharing this with the community.  My players really built the lore on very basic info (remains, who they were, how the curse was enacted). And began feeding the giant rats to keep them distracted. This made for a great session for the whole table. With a clutch grab and a natural 20 the lovers were reunited after a player gave the Wight the sword (they thought he was angry it had been taken), that he proceeded to use it on  them, and the bandits that came rushing out.  We had some great torch timer ends (one excellent one was right as the party entered the crumbling tower, and the Stirges began to stir.)  so very, very good. Don't have enough nice things to say about this.

Wow! Thank you for the kind words and for such an elaborate recap :) Really happy you had this much fun and creative solutions with it. Giving the wight the sword was super clever, and feeding the rats is a cherry on top of a grim stormy cake. Thanks again :)
