You’re not missing anything, the login is currently required (I’m experimenting with saves and progression).
I don’t want it to block people from trying the game, would you be more likely to try it if there was a quick “play as guest” option ?
Yes! If I can "play as guest" first, I would hesitate a lot less.
Right now, seeing that login / sign up prompt makes a bit weary, as I already have so many accounts and signing up for another one just to test a game feels like extra work.
Also, seeing that login / sign up prompt somewhat reminds me of seeing a login block on sites like instagram and facebook. It's a bit too much friction, if you know what I mean :)
