There was a technical reason for removing the head banging gag, but I'm hoping to put it back in for the final release. The most important thing for me was to get this updated demo out so people wouldn't continue to experience the overly punishing version.
The added jumps definitely do make the demo easier, but it also opens up more possibilities for map design in the full game. Also, my usual playtesters were still struggling to complete the demo with the additional jumps, but agreed that the deaths didn't feel unfair anymore.
More polishing/tweaking may happen as I continue development, but this demo release was very insightful, and its helped make my vision for the full version clearer.
