How do you add patches in a way whwre you dont lose all previous game progress?

If you are playing on PC you do not lose save progress, although there may be new content which requires you to start a new save if you've played past the spot you would have seen it.
If you are playing on android, there is not really a way for us to push new versions that won't wipe the saves from previous versions. It has to do with android and unity games
