One that is visually clear, easy to read, and fits the visual style and themes of your game.

For example, my game uses Libre Baskerville which is a fairly regular, yet somewhat old-timey serif font.

But also, you are putting the kart before the horse if you think about font choices before you've even started prototyping.

I've finished programming the whole story, although I've had trouble deciding on the visual style; I'm not quite sure what I want to show in this aspect.
