The game feels polished with things like the enemy knockback, the flashes, the sound effects, etc. and the gameplay style is fun, but the core idea is a bit confusing. It's not really explained what the percent below the fox is (I think a 2nd health?) and why it randomly decreases. And also, I don't really know how it relates to the theme of the game jam other than the idea of enemies being bats, but it's not even in a cave or anything. The setting looks like it's just above ground, so why are there bats everywhere?

So basically: technically, the game is pretty good but the idea itself needs a bit work

Thanks for the comment!
This game is just a prototype and our team didn't have the enough time to create our ideas in time during the game jam, but I'll just give a brief overview about the game's plot.
We wanted to make Foxie travel through two dimensions, white world (the normal map) and the red world (where the enemies are stronger, faster and more annoying). The percentage below Foxie was supposed to be the limit of the fox's stamina (like when you attack or walk), and when you attack the enemies it will increase. But when it reaches 0% the world will turn more red and difficult overtime, and you gotta survive as long as possible until the world turns normal again. (The bats are super bats, they're poisonous and  can live above the ground :D)

So yeah, I hope I explained everything well. Glad you liked it!

oh woah this idea is really cool id love to see where you guys take it
