The game saves automatically as you play through it, though there are some known compatibility issues when playing through the browser
Thanks so much for your reply. As I said, I'm currently using an Android platform with the "Brave" browser, but I've also tested it on a PC (Windows 11) and with Chrome. The problem persists. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? I expect the card I won to stay with me as soon as I finish a match. If I press F5 or reload the page, the game doesn't give me the continue button. Maybe I need to exit the game differently? If you're interested, could you give me some more instructions? Thanks so much for everything anyway.
There’s no alternate way to save - you are right in that when you win a card it should be immediately persisted. The same should happen whenever you transition between different scenes. The Continue button not being available suggests that the save state isn’t being persisted. This is a known issue when trying to play through the browser (Windows and Linux downloads are more reliable) due to the way Unity works with OpenGL. The least supported option is a web browser on a mobile device, but even using a web browser on a laptop/PC has been known to have issues.
I apologise for any frustrations. Unfortunately, this is just a “fan-made” passion project for me. As such, I don’t get much time to commit to it, and tend to cycle back every few months. Feel free to join the Discord server, as I post on there when I make updates to the game
Dear Aber Falcon Games, You absolutely don't need to apologize if your project doesn't work perfectly; in fact, thank you for the effort you put into making it happen. Triple Triad is a great project that takes us back to perhaps better times, and all my questions arose only because I don't have a PC handy during my breaks. If I did, I would have already downloaded the Windows desktop version, and this thread wouldn't exist. I can only cheer you on and congratulate you again on your work. Hugs!
Thanks for the kind words - I’m glad you’ve enjoyed my efforts so far :-)
I do intend to return to this project at some point. I have an area to capture feedback, so I would welcome any you have. You can also upvote any other feature requests in there.
