Without spoilers, the progression bar represents your nervousness, and it depends on how well the conversations go. Some choices land better than others, and that affects your nervous levels. The choices & responses are randomized each round for replayability but each have specific points they give you so that part isn't random.
The more points you get means more nervousness which you need to avoid. Less points means more confidence which is a good thing. Next time we will add a title to the bars to make it more intuitive! Thank you for pointing this out 🙏
