[ART][PAID] Pixel Artist Wanted — Game Engine Showcase (Open Source, Full IP Transfer)

Hey everyone! I'm the developer behind Brine2D, a modern open-source 2D game engine for C#/.NET. I'm commissioning a pixel artist for a showcase game called The Brine; a short comedic top-down action adventure (think Zelda-like, but the hero is a pickle) that will be used as a YouTube series to demonstrate the engine and released fully open source on GitHub with all assets included.

This is a paid commission for original work with full IP transfer. Because the game ships open source, assets must be 100% original, no stock packs, no modifications of existing work unless it is yours.

**The style:**

Modern, intentionally pixel-native pixel art. Clean, expressive, readable at small sizes. Slightly chibi character proportions. Saturated palette. Think Celeste's environmental clarity meets Undertale's character expressiveness, with a comedic pickle-themed adventure on top.

**Scope includes:**

— Player character (Dill) with full 4-directional animation across all states

— 3 enemies including a two-phase boss

— 1 NPC

— 2 full tilesets (overworld garden world + underground pickle jar dungeon)

— UI/HUD elements

— Particle effects and projectile sprites

Full asset list, style guide, delivery specs, and contract terms are available in a detailed brief document. I have everything written up and ready to share; this is a real, organized commission, not a vague idea.

**What I'm looking for:**

— A portfolio showing pixel art game assets, especially characters and tilesets

— Comfort with game asset pipelines (spritesheets, Tiled-compatible tilesets)

— Experience delivering source files alongside exports

— Willingness to sign a straightforward work-for-hire agreement (full brief available on request)

**Budget:** Open to discussion based on your rate and whether you're quoting full scope or partial. I'd rather find the right artist than lowball a good one.

If you're interested or have questions, reply here or message me directly. Please include a link to your portfolio. I'm happy to send the full brief to anyone who wants to see the complete scope before committing to anything.

Thanks for reading, looking forward to seeing your work!
