I'm back! I enjoyed the game, with both endings. Something that would be cool to add it's that if you know the coordinates to "end the war" you maybe could jump to the end right away (at least, it seemee that the ending coordinates were the same in my both playthroughs). Another thing, when I finished the game the first time and started a new game, the email from the previous playthrough were there!

I must say that this remind me a lot to Untold Stories. I certainly would prefer less walking for a game like this, but all the setups and such were cool for a simulation like this.

Yeah this is something that was on my mind in the original conception of the game! I think with more time and a different approach to the narrative (You can probably see that it's in lock-step with the tasks), this would be really cool.

I'm glad you enjoyed the setups! I think they get a bit tedious after a point, but if I continue to pursue this project I want to make them more fun to interact with (juicier, more than just point and click), and also more varied (rather than recipes with fixed machine states, the tasks are purely about adjusting specific machines, or oriented to be more open-ended in achieving a specific goal, which you then have to look at manuals to understand which machines need tweaking).

Kind of interesting you mention walking. I did think a bit about this, and in fact the original prototype was going to be in 1-2 small rooms, but I thought the intentional friction of hurrying from place-to-place intentionally puts you into a rushed, just-follow-orders state of mind, which is part of the point 😄
