I do have a question for Konpetio.
If it was Marcus that had gone missing instead of David, would Callum have gone through the same to find him as he did David. Not necessarily the same scenario, but if something Happened to Marcus would Callum be looking for him to bring him home despite the risks? I do believe so but i want your opinion.

I do believe Callum actions are no way bad, but misguided and I do wish you had taken time to criticize Marcus for not being more honest with Callum as it would've made alot of difference in not making it too one sided towards Callum with someone like Baxter and/or Troy calling him out, as i feel he does deserve some blame. Also i would've loved to see you given delay the reconciliation to allow Baxter to have a heart to to with Marcus, a chance for Marcus to read David the riot act, use Smoke more as a villain and likely another love scene between Marcus and Callum after David leaves. But i liked the Novel nonetheless and definitely hope to see the guys again. Especially Troy. He deserves his own story one day.
