I think I know what the pattern is. She turns over cards left-to-right, top-down and if the next card is one whose match has already been revealed, she gets that match. The reason why it looks like cheating is a) she's got a much better memory than us and b) the cards get turned over in reverse order, making it look like she's pulling the knowledge out of her ass.
