An amazing game
I enjoyed every moment, the fights are very enjoyable, being comparable to puzzles to be solved and I really enjoyed the designs. The choice of fetishes is very well handled and I also quite appreciated how the less savoury ones were always optional.
I have only a few minor complaints, which i'm sure will be gone by the time the main game is released.
Those issues are as follows :
The combat is a bit simplistic and leaves little room to be solved the non-intended way.
Some of the enemies have gimmicks that I, on a personal level, find mildly annoying, but not a deal breaker.
The world is a bit small, though as this is a demo, that was to be expected really.
All around though, very solid demo, and I look forward to the main game eagerly :)
Spoilers bellow
I will proceed to elaborate on my small issues as mentioned earlier, along with some other misc stuff I feel the need to talk about.
I find it a little bit disappointing how many of the zombies loose their infection mechanic after the beginning of the game. Perhaps this is only a minor bug, or i just didn't notice it in action.
Talking of the infection mechanic, this timer that takes various forms across the bosses, mildly annoys me. I wish there was a way to at least temporarily revert it. Though perhaps that would go against the point of the mechanic. I just wish I sometimes had a bit more time before it progresses.
A good example would be the magical girl fight. I understand it's meant to be very difficult, though I find it to be a little overkill to have it attempt to progress the infection mechanic every other turn when it gets up to 3 actions per turn.
Additonnaly, could it be possible to have more dedicated "Game Over" screens that show what happens of the main player character after their defeat ? I find it sad that all the unique ones are only at the start, every enemy afterwards (with a notable exception) simply begin the fight again as if nothing happened.
I think it could make the game more enjoyable, same for a simple "surrender" skill for when you run out of options to defeat an enemy you can no longer deal with or simply to see the game over screen.
I also think the throwing knives could use the minor buff of being returned to the player after a fight ends, it would be a band-aid patch to the problem of them not returning to the player when they loose, but it would make them more usable.
Thank you for your time and effort, and for reading my poorly worded comment. :)
