First time I've ever seen that. It almost looks like you're trying to use some kind of installer.

The game is entirely self-contained in a single .rar file.

You should be downloading the file, unpacking it on your local system and installing it from there.

Oh, huh -- I'm using the Itch windows app, with the built in updater in that... it's the same way I originally installed the game and have installed all the previous updates. I wonder what's different this time?

Ahh, when I try to download it normally, instead of using the Itch app, It gives me a warning. Any idea what's going on here?

Okay, NOW I know what's going on.

"Our system has flagged this page for additional review due to potential suspicious behavior from the page owner" is caused by Itch. I often use a VPN while surfing the internet and sometimes forget to disconnect it before logging on. Which triggers their security protocols as they figure that my creator account is being accessed from a different country.

The installation problem you were (are) having is also caused by Itch.

For some reason Itch has a file upload size limit (1GB by default) with a caveat that we can contact them to request more storage space if if we require it. Which I have done once or twice over the years as the game grew larger.

When the game approached 4GB I requested (several times) that they increase my storage limit again, but never received any response. They DO have an external storage option, which I am now using because I don't have a choice, but it doesn't work with their in house installer.

I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions on the above, but you did pay for the game and certainly should be able to download it.
