Don't worry too much about getting on Umr's good side right away. First of all I am still balancing the stat system, so it may be misleading for a while, but also, Umr sees MC as an inconvenient and distasteful means to an end through the first two-and-a-half chapters... so unless you REALLY make yourself his problem, you'll be more or less hated but tolerated, which is the most your MC can hope for.
Chapter 2 will give you more insight into Umr's life, and in Chapter 3 your decisions start to have more lasting consequences. But respecting any personal boundaries which may have been set or implied will earn you some extra favour. He appreciates honesty, and is very perceptive - though your efforts in that direction may not always be welcomed.
When more chapters are finished I may have some additional thoughts.
That said I endorse chaos, so play however you think your MC would approve of and see what happens!
