After a long break, I came back to game development for this Game Jam — and used the opportunity to release a big update!
What’s new:

Visual overhaul: added new hit and explosion effects and redrew several sprites

More content: a new enemy, a new map, and new mechanics (including time slowdown)

New architecture for the upgrade system and the first version of an upgrade tree

Difficulty and balance adjustments — previously many players couldn’t even get past the first map
