I like Subspace a lot, but it's your choice in the end. I personally would just ignore it because it's Twitter. People love causing drama over the smallest of things. Subspace is a fictional character and can be seen in both ways. His rot is fictional, while based on real things, still very much fictional and is up to the person on how they want to represent it. There's no incorrect way to do it.
I recommend posting your final opinion and just ignore/block anyone who is being fussy about it. If they don't like how you see him, then that's their own issue and not yours. You have done nothing wrong.
