In fact, I'm sure there are plenty of adults who disagree with me (I doubt you are one of them, esspecially since you haven't challenged my characterization of you), but the reflexive aversion to criticism is something fundimentally childish.
If you like something, you must have reasons for liking it, and adults take pleasure in articulating and discussing these reasons. Children (or adults who act like children, as the case may be) also have these reasons, but they do not have the critical thinking capacity to develop them, and so those reasons lay dormant in their mind; this causes frustration, and the child or child-like-adult lashes out at anything which they feel contradicts their intuitions. However, when they are challenged, they do not re-assess their behavior for the same reasons that they behaved that way in the first place, and can only respond to their critics with shallow, vapid, empty comments; hence this entire thread after my review.
