Ver 0.85 Out! Improving gameplay and presentation!
We were fortunate to receive a lot of feedback during this update, so we focused all our attention on improving the gameplay and presentation, but also added a ton of new assets and resources!
Major improvements include:
Rework of the player camera, now better than ever.
Rework of the scene to reduce unwanted camera collisions.
Rework of all physics puzzles and cranes. Lots of tweaking!
Rework on all dialogue, lots of spell checking!
New resources include:
A whole new forest village, now explorable in the prologue/nightmare scene!
A whole new main menu! Been waiting for this one for a while...
Lots of new environmental audio clips. The game feels a lot more immersive.
And as always, lots of bug fixing and minor adjustments all around.
The game looks and feels a lot better now, still not as good as intended, but we can finally work on a bit of lore and narrative on the side. For the next update, I'll remake the first cinematic “Awakening” from the prologue/nightmare scene and add a few new characters. The current one is just a loredump placeholder, so I'm hoping to introduce a lot more information properly next time. A few new spirits and interactions are needed at the forest village; currently, it feels very empty. And of course, there are still a few bugs and issues waiting.
It's been incredibly hard to get the game to an acceptable state, but it feels so close lately. I can't wait to finally work on all the complementary events and characters, but in the meantime, thank you for your patience, feedback, and support. Cheers!
