I feel like I'm doing something completely wrong. In a previous playthrough, I was able to get a female MC, but after the new update I just find that no matter what I do I just can't get the gender swap cutscene. Is there something I'm missing or am I just completely dumb?

Well then you probably have to interact with a Venus now, if you don't already have one theirs one in the library in the manor basement in the secret library basically the room hidden in the left side of the wall.

But surely there's a way to get the gender swap on the second night like the story chart says.

You have to go back to the lab and find an unwindow monster I think, or you could just spawn one later in the basement in the dream house.
