The player character always faces right when idle. I would suggest making the character face the last direction of movement to improve visual consistency and game feel.

I would consider implementing a camera “dead zone” so the camera doesn’t constantly follow the player when they are near the center of the screen. This would likely improve the visual experience and overall smoothness.

Adding clearer HUD elements would improve player feedback. For example, I didn’t realize there was a health bar until I died. Making this information more visible would enhance clarity and usability.
