Very true that it would make more sense to have the robots immediately explode in the sun.
We found in past jams that when introducing non-classical mechanics into games (like the weird controls here) it is more enjoyable to play in a more forgiving environment. Though we agree that it should be the case if it were a longer non-jam game. :)
