Simple yet effective and true to the theme of the jam, tought I would recomend putting the audio as on from the jump, I played it with no audio for the first time, and on the second time, it was only music, given the simplicity of the game, I think it would benefit with sound that related to the current scenaria, like the kid in the store stealing, there could be some screaming in the background...
Other than that, cool idea.
