Literally my first thought as soon as I clicked on this page was "...you're actually charging money for this?"

Even if it wasn't AI, $20 would still be a lot for a "game" that's entirely just pictures and text.

Oh, and apparently the game isn't even stable. Neat.

Clearly you have never played a VN.  Games like Fate stay night cost like $50. Clannad cost about $60.  which both games are very popular.

Your argument is now that valid with the line "a "game" that's entirely just pictures and text."

Yea those games are not made with AI though. Also Clannad costs 44.99 and Fate Stay Night costs 29.99.

If you read my comment I never called out the Ai comment.  I only called out that one quote "a "game" that's entirely just pictures and text."  which are the key words there.

I will agree it feels expensive for AI but I played the demo and I thought it was decent.  if you don't want to buy it don't.

Also my the price reference was based on the price in my area.

I have played VNs before, have you?

Katawa Shoujo was free, so was Monster Girl Quest. Pheonix Wright has animations, puzzles and actual game mechanics instead of just being a slideshow with health bars. You can say "don't like don't buy" as much as you want, but if you're gonna charge $20 for a product then you're gonna be held to a $20 standard.

A lot of VNs that come out in Japan cost anywhere from  20 - 60  dollars.    Everyone has different standards and that's perfectly fine.  Trust me I think people who buy the sports games and call of duty every year at 60-70 dollars are crazy.  But i have spend a ton of money on games from  Nekopara, Higurashi and the Fate franchises.

All I am saying  is the line ( a "game" that's entirely just pictures and text line)  for those of us who like VNs this  is annoying to see.

Complaining about the Ai part is a different argument. However,  95 percent of all Vns are just pictures with text.
