well thank you. i really appreciate this. I think it's important that we each find who we are and try to live as authentically as possible to the core of that identity. For some people, it may be the more feminine stereotype you described but for others-- it could be the exact opposite. the important part in the process of finding who you are is to honestly self-reflect on whether your lifestyle is authentic to you or whether it's a way to try to hide or cover-up who you are. For some people, living more masculine is actually the lie because it's not who they are. but for others-- that's truth. in the past, it seems the media always portrayed gay characters as more feminine and comedic relief. but as time has moved on, we've had more exposure to alternatives to that. Zack has a very archaic view on sexuality because that's all he was ever really exposed to-- and i think that's true for a lot of people. it was for me. trying to identify the difference between the symptoms of self-hatred and authenticity can sometimes be a grueling process for people-- especially if they were raised in environments that demonized anything that wasn't hetero and cis. the ultimate moral to this story is to be your authentic you and to make peace with that. I'm really glad the story spoke to you.
