You're not paying attention to what they're saying.

If the author doesn't own the model, they can't use it. It doesn't matter how many people want them back. Unless they can somehow claim ownership of the models, they're not coming back.

If they did bring them back, they would probably get in trouble.

If anything, you're the one not using your head.

As for anyone else, I'm not trying to defend the new models nor the author (I have my problems with both), I'm just trying to explain why the old ones are never coming back. If the author kept using the old ones they might have gotten in trouble with their actual owners. They shouldn't have to break the law just to satisfy the fans.

Yes, there needs to be compromise, but it needs to go both ways. The author needs to consider people's feedback and improve the new models, while the fans need to accept that the old ones are gone and never coming back. Some things are non-negotiable.
