We tested it on both Xiaomi and Samsung phones, and it worked normally on both. Which one do you have?

I uninstalled some other games I had downloaded from itch and it allowed it to install. So my guess is somehow another game was conflicting it. :)
I'm not sure which one did it though, I got rid of quite a few at once.
