I'll look into it. Does the error message also mention a file name (ending on .lua) next to the number? What version of the Playdate OS (should be visible under Settings → System if I'm not mistaken) are you running?

Last year I patched an issue that only cropped up when their storage was nearly full. Is that perhaps also the case on your system?

It mentions a file called puzzle.lua. I'm running the latest version of playdate os version 3.0.3. and my playdate is almost full but I tried uninstalling some games so I had 400mb available and I still couldn't get the game to launch.

I just uploaded version 1.03 to Itch, which should hopefully fix this issue (possibly at the cost of slightly longer loading time when booting the game).

I also submitted this update to the Catalog, which should become available once Panic has reviewed and published it.
