regarding this project, is a very clear down to earth example on how to use the plugin features.

for people that need more complexity in having multiple scenes I suggest this template https://github.com/crystal-bit/godot-game-template which has menus and scene changing and has functionality to pass variables around when switching scenes. you can then prepare multiple scenes using this project as template with their own story arc and characters and have a more complex game up and running in no time :)
