(Spoilers ahead, also CW: Suicidal Ideation)
If I were to summarize my thoughts, I'd say that I loved how you treated everyone with compassion and nuance in this story, especially considering the subject matter.
Taking One's life is something seen as selfish and inherently dishonorable and shameful in our culture, leading to it being hushed away to never talk about. Making it all the worse for everyone.
Treating them with Compassion breaks the mold on that, which is a great thing, same with the view of the afterlife.
All the Characters have much more going on then gets shown in the story, which is also great for short stories like this.
And I truly hope that you'll show us more of your world, I am looking forward to it.
Though like I said in the review, don't rush it, You don't "Owe" your audience anything really.
