Is there a reason you just copy/pasted the entire plot, characters and setting from I Wani Hug That Gator?

I can assure you I did not copy Wani. There are a couple things loosely based off of Wani, Snoot, Katawa Shoujo Disabled, Arches(Not a high school VN but some inspiration came from that too), and a couple of other VNs, but nothing stolen. It's a high school romance furry/scaly VN, there is bound to be similarities. I do understand the concern with this however and my future projects will steer away from trying to seem similar to these other VNs.
I can assure you I did not copy Wani.
>Both games have a bald protagonist with a pun name
>Both protagonists arrive at a new school
>Both protagonists meet main girl by looking at their eyes with one racing past the other and aren't introduced
>Both protagonists start the story at a gym class where a coach bullies them
>Both protagonists meet main girl in a history class and sit right next to them.
>Both protagonists are properly introduced to main girl by another character who is in a friend group with main girl and a female character (this is unfortunately really common with Wani imitators, they all have a Damien figure for some reason).
>Both protagonists later play dodgeball and have a mean girl who bullies them and hits them with a dodgeball (This is egregious come on)
>Both have the mean girl and main girl have a pre-existing feud and much of the conflict setting up both endings is the protagonist's feelings towards them. (In Wani's E1 Inco dances with Mia and defends her. In Dancing the player can have sex with Trinity)
>Both protagonists later visit the house of another character and meet main girl (and there's even a pool cg)
>Both main girl and mean girl's source of conflict leads to a part where she threatens to "expose" the other
>Both have mean girl attempt to get in-between the burgeoning romance between protagonist and main girl
>Both have a big school dance at the end
>There's a mentor figure who's like a friendly teacher character that they both share a class with that gives advice to main protagonist (This is also really common with Wani imitators they all have an Iadakan for some reason)
>There's a scene where main girl breaks down and protagonist embraces main girl. (Both CGs are virtually identical)
It's a high school romance furry/scaly VN, there is bound to be similarities
Is that why this game has the exact same cast of characters as Wani?
>Inco -> Un N. Amed
>Olivia ->Alya
>Solly->Coach
>Prockling->Ms. Michelle
>Trinity->Mia
>Damien->Danny
>Ben->Freddy
>Liz->Zelda
>Sophia->Brandy
>Randy->Brian
>Iadakan->Willz
This kind of comparison isn't possible to do with Snoot Game, Cavemanon's previous VN. But with Wani it's almost 1-1. It's to the point where in the Snoot Game community we've started referring to Dancing Towards Tomorrow as "Temu Wani".
You do realize that nearly everything of what you pointed out is the basic plot of nearly every high school romance TV show, Movie, Game, even books, which is what I followed. It's a basic story line for high school media, down to the pool scene and even dodgeball. Just about everybody played dodgeball in high school. I used things from my own time in high school as well as parts of the plot too.
So what I can point out that isn't part of the main plot point to most high school media is
>The names are done that way on purpose, yes to be a funny pun on a name and have a similarity to the Snoot lore which is done in other Snoot Likes, not just mine.
>They don't race past one another, they do interact (even if its brief) in Wani they don't say a word to one another for a good portion of the beginning chapter, when in DTT when they meet its at lunch and not in class. She doesn't even realize Un is there.
>If you're going to look at someone and attempt to meet them for the first time, its going to be in the eyes. That's a standard human traight.
>I used my actual high school gym coach as a reference for Coach. He was a total dick when we're actually doing something, but when it's chill time he's pretty nice. Solly doesn't have a lot of kind moments, they're there granted, but Coach is shown as a lot nicer.
>Wani they meet in Art class, not history. DTT they officially meet at lunch.
>Un never actually defends Trinity, he realizes that if they go down to her level then they're no better than her. Danny actually talks about how much she deserves it but likes that Un didn't go through with it.
>The Teacher Mentor thing, although a less used plot point in classic high school media is an experience I used from my own high school days. I had a teacher who was a mentor to me and helped me through things. Fun Fact, he also wanted to be a dancer which is where I got my inspiration for Willz character even down to the look(besides the leotard)
Other than that, everything else is a main romance high school plot point in a ton of media.
Comparing the characters could also be done with, again, a ton of high school media.
If you're implying I "stole" from Wani, you're also implying that they stole from other media, and that media stole from another, and another, and I'm sure you can see where I'm going. So I can 100% say I did not steal from Wani. It's my first project, so I went with a basic set of plot points from what I know, mixing in with real life experiences.
