I’ve checked out all your assets on Itch—they’re incredibly high quality! I really think you should monetize them. That way, you can earn a steady income from your art, keep creating new work long-term, and don’t have to sell your blood : )
good job any way.
You’re right, I could monetize. It would make sense, and maybe it would even help me keep going longer. But do I want to? Honestly, no.
Help will always be free. What will hold me up are the personal projects, the books, the games, the worlds I build.
There are reasons for that:
- I’d rather earn respect and love than money.
- I want to build a community that feels like companionship, not pressure.
- I want to give what I wished I had when I started: help that doesn’t ask for anything back.
I know this choice hits me long‑term. It already does. It’s tough, sometimes harsher than I expect. But what I’m walking toward isn’t profit, it’s the moment when I need help and know this community will have my back.
Selling blood for money might be illegal, but giving it out for love isn’t. So I’ll keep spilling mine until my heart runs on air, space, and the echo of the people I’ve helped when I could.
Your words hit me right in the heart—this moved me so much. You’ve already won all my respect for choosing to create and give from a place of pure love, not profit. Wishing you all the best with every project, every world you build, and all the beautiful connections you’re fostering in this community 💛
