It's a bit more obvious when you realize he shows a lot of signs of trust issues. But if you stay inside your room all the time, you get killed too, haha. Probably because it doesn't trigger a specific event that's needed for his route
I thankfully found a guide online to help me navigate. Lol, that game is really fun but it took me 4 HOURS to get all the good endings XDD
