Loving the game so far but I have a few issues/suggestions! I'm using the desktop version by the way :)
1. I believe there should be some sort of number in the corner of my screen telling me how many fossils and lucky finds are left when I'm hunting for fossils. This would save SO much time and help with the issue of feeling like I'm grinding
2. I had a problem where I was on a map in that was 37x28 squares and only got one ammonite as shown below. I spent at least 10 minutes mining every square I could. I have incomplete skeletons in that can be found in that region and even if they were complete, not all of the pieces were gold. I understand this sometimes happens in real life but you have to find a balance between realism and player enjoyment
3. I don't like that I have to manually rotate my character to mine each individual square but that's just personal preference
4. There should be an option in the settings to turn on and off the screen shake when mining, I noticed my eyes were starting to hurt and this could be an accessibility issue. This should be added ASAP in my opinion
5. The presence of a tutorial should be included. On the first day I accidentally opened the museum with nothing in it because I didn't realise I had to put down the fossils first. I also didn't know I could hold the mouse button to mine instead of clicking each time until day 4. I got a little confused as to which side is left or right when building a skeleton, it took a while for me to understand the darker shade of bones goes on the darker outline. All of these things should be pointed out to the player
6. The controls feel kind of all over the place. Pressing P to manage the exhibits and then having to press F to assemble or DEL to delete it is a lot of movement on the keyboard. Using close together commonly used keys is much more comfortable. For example using Q and E to switch between exhibits so we don't have to manually click them, also using Q and E for tool selection when excavating a fossil, using Backspace to delete an exhibit, the scroll wheel to rotate an object, Tab to manage the exhibits and even Spacebar to assemble an exhibit
I'll definitely continue playing for awhile and I'll update this if I think of anything else. I'm also happy to reach out on Discord if needed :)
