Really impressive for a first game, you really did understand game mechanics and focused on the arcade ramp difficulty, there’s room for improvement but, I really liked the main concept of deep movement decisions, a suggestion would be to make the blocks disappear from slow and heavy meteors to improve decision-making, and maybe to adjust the shooting mechanic to follow the cursor if possible for dealing with large meteors, also there’s an option to make the pixel art sharp in Game Maker for preventing anti-aliased sprites. Great Job!
