Hello! I really love your game, it reminds me of the kind of point and click adventures I grew up on, and it is so beautiful and witty... It has also inspired me to make something similar, in this comic book style format, and I just wanted to ask if you used anything else besides Adventure Game Studio? And if there are any tutorials you would recommend for the same? I am an absolute novice at this, but am really keen on figuring it out for myself.

Hi! Thank you very much!
When I made the game, I used Photoshop for the backgrounds (I don't remember what I used for animation). Nowadays, I switched to Clip Studio Paint Ex, since it's specifically tailored for drawing and comic books -- plus you can do frame-by-frame animation directly inside it.
For AGS, I would advise you to go through the included tutorial in the guide. It gives you the basic information to build a game, and you can take it from there. In fact, the included manual is well-made and describes every command available in the engine. Plus, if you don't remember how to use a command while coding, you can select it and press F1 to go to its specific page.
There are also YouTube videos made by users to help you get started, but I never used them, so I can't really vouch for them. But it seems that a lot of beginners found them useful!
The AGS Forums (especially the Beginners' Technical Questions section) is also a goldmine of information: just check that the discussions are related to the version of the program you're using!
In general, start with something small, don't make anything too ambitious as your first project, but most of all: have fun!
