Thematic spoilers below, I guess:

Even though I'm not really a VN aficionado who would be interested in the early history of VNs, the short reviews of the early retro titles were nevertheless interesting enough.

However, what resonated with me the most was the theme of withdrawing from life by looking at screens. It somewhat disturbed me and prompted some introspection, because similarly to the MC, I played this in the middle of the night in my untidy room while trying to ignore uncomfortable thoughts about my real life and my future. I don't know if the author went through something similar in their life, but the descriptions of nocturnal life and the annoyance at postmen mirrored my experience in uncanny ways. This story really feels like a cautionary tale for anyone who might be headed into a similarly isolated lifestyle, whether it be VNs or any other form of unhealthy escapism, and I appreciate it for that.

I found this VN totally by chance, via a youtube comment that the author left on someone else's video. I've only ever played a handful of VNs before this one and only one dating sim, yet I was still able to resonate with the MC in some ways through my unhealthy habit of isolating myself during certain periods of my life. What I want to say is, this game has the potential to have a wider audience and I'd recommend it even to people who aren't deep into VNs.

I appreciate the kind words and I'm glad you got something out of this story! I'm also happy that it's still reaching new people to this day
