Extremely huge fan of the game and the atmosphere. Great general design, brilliant sounds, really conveys the idea that no matter what it is if there is money in it, corporations will find a way...
Some thoughts on the endings though - SPOILER ALERT!
I think most people will have no problem reaching the Dark Endings.
However I found the Good Ending quite cryptic, I think it is quite unintuitive for several reasons:
To get the key in "Pipeline B" you need to go lower than the "Pipe depth". This is in no way encouraged in the game and we are not offered any clues (at least I did not find any). If anything the game leads to the opposite direction:
- there is a paper explaining how to remove the clog "go down to pipe depth, remove clog then go up"
- the game is very much about your running around fixing problems it encourages you to be fast and efficient, it does not in any way encourage you to explore.
- the SE event is on a timer, again putting the player on the edge just to make sure the station works optimally, no time to go running around.
- the monitoring system could be a great way to give players a clue who decide to explore the camera system. I tried it with all cameras, I was not able to find the key on any of them. At this point the camera system serves no purpose as all the problems are reported on the screen that counts the in-take (main hall).
- lastly, this is more of my fault but I failed the Good Ending because I did not know where the elevator would come down, I did not think it was the same elevator that dropped me here in the first place. Also upon entering the elevator in time I rushed to the screens in front of me - because that is the first thing in sight - only to miss the button which I needed to push to start going up. Maybe if we could start the game by pushing that button would rectify the situation?
All in all this was a great experience and seeing how this "body horror genre" is becoming very popular (Incision, Meat Engine, Meat Grinder etc.) I think you have a solid chance of developing this short game further.
Much love from Eruope!
