Honestly, nobody is complaining about the writing, yeah it's a bit corny at times but it's one of the games charms. People aren't happy because you're taking an amazing experience and turning into a shadow of its former self. I know my words probably won't change your mind and I know you've probably received tons of support on discord or from some of the comments here, however, to put it in other terms, you're taking a beautiful painting, stripping it to just a canvas with a sketch and calling it good. For those of us who've been waiting for literal years for this project because we love what it is, this is an insult to us and honestly, it may be one of your worst decisions with this story.

Please don't take these words as anything hostile or antagonistic, my goal with saying this isn't to make you feel bad or belittle you, simply expressing the thoughts many of us share. I wish nothing but the best for you in life and your endeavors, however I and may others have no interest in a book. If you change your mind I'm sure tins of people would be ecstatic, but it's also likely you've burned a lot of the bridges people had extended to this project.

As I said before in my other comment, I wish you the best broskie. I have no I'll will towards you or your book I hope they're what you're hoping for. Good luck brother.

The really interesting (and darkly amusing) thing is that even amongst those who say they’ll read the book, many still state a clear preference for the  VN.

Ignoring the audience is rarely the path to success. In fact, it can often the path to having to give up entirely.

Seen it far too many times over the years. I’d like to be wrong but I strongly suspect Evermore is following that path.
