I don't understand this critique. It's a visual novel which this follows the standard on pretty well. It's more exploration and reading than gameplay. I would prefer more frequent branches of dialog as some of the sections after choices are very long - but I will say that's very common as well.

Yeah, it depends on the visual novel for sure. I leaned towards a visual novel that focuses only on scenes occurring, there's no decisions to make that impact the story nor interaction with the game (so far). Other visual novels have more gameplay involves or stats needed etc.
